Chesterton Academy of The Divine Mercy Receives Official 501(c)(3) Status

We are thrilled to share an important milestone in the founding of Chesterton Academy of The Divine Mercy: we have officially received our 501(c)(3) nonprofit status from the IRS!

This recognition marks a major step forward in bringing faithful, classical Catholic education to families in our community. As a federally recognized nonprofit organization, donations made to the academy are now tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law, helping us continue building a strong foundation for the school’s future. All contributions received prior to this announcement are retroactively afforded the same consideration.

Receiving 501(c)(3) status is more than an administrative milestone - it is a sign of the momentum and support behind this mission. Over the past several months, we have continued making progress toward opening our doors by growing community awareness, developing partnerships, and accomplishing countless behind the scenes tasks, each of which have contributed to laying the groundwork for academic and operational excellence.

Chesterton Academy of The Divine Mercy is being founded with a clear mission: to cultivate joyful saints and strong leaders through a rigorous classical curriculum rooted in the Catholic intellectual tradition. Inspired by the life and writings of G.K. Chesterton, we seek to form students spiritually, intellectually, and morally in an environment centered on truth, beauty, and goodness.

As we continue preparing for our inaugural years, there will be many opportunities to become involved through prayer, volunteering, spreading the word, and financial support. We invite families, benefactors, and members of the community to join us as we build something lasting for future generations.
